Summer Champagne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 c. grapefruit juice
    1/2 c. canned pineapple juice
    1 qt. chilled ginger ale
Preparation
    Mix sugar and water in saucepan; bring to boil.
    Cook for 5 minutes; cool.
    Add fruit juices to syrup; chill.
    Add ginger ale just before serving.
    Pour into 6 (10 ounce) glasses.
    Garnish with cherries, strawberries or pineapple chunks.
