Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Lettuce (I use one head)
    1 cup chopped celery
    1 cup chopped bell pepper
    1 red onion (use as many rings as needed)
    2 cups mayonnaise
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1 (8 ounce) package shredded cheddar cheese
    12 or 13 slices of crisp bacon crumbled (I use bacon bits)
    Boiled egg slices (optional)
    Chopped Ham (optional)
Preparation
    Layer lettuce, celery, peppers, onions, and thawed peas. You may add egg slices and chopped ham layered if desired. Seal vegetables with a mixture of mayonnaise and sugar. Top this with a layer of cheddar cheese and a layer of bacon crumbled.
