Tex-Mex Dip - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground sirloin (can also use ground round or chuck)
1 c. Del Monte petite diced tomato with jalapeno (undrained)
1 pkg. Ortega taco seasoning
1 c. refried beans, heated as directed on label (can use 2 cans if preferred)
1 large pack finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 large container sour cream
2 tomatoes, diced (can use less or more depending on preference)
1 small can black olives (optional)
chopped scallions (optional)
jalapeno slices
Preparation

Brown ground sirloin; if using
a different cut of meat, be sure to drain off excess fat. Add in the can of diced tomatoes and the taco seasoning mix. Stir and heat. In a casserole dish, first layer the refried beans. Next, spoon the meat mixture over the beans. Smooth the sour cream over the meat mixture. Sprinkle the Cheddar cheese over the sour cream. Garnish the dip with the diced tomatoes, black olives, jalapeno slices and scallions. Serve with tortilla chips.
