Gingersnap Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. light molasses
    1 beaten egg
    2 c. sifted enriched flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Note:
    I usually make a double batch, using 3/4 cup shortening and 3/4 cup margarine.
    This makes them crack better.
