Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lean pork chops 1/2 inch thick
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can chicken soup
    2/3 c. Pet milk
    1/3 c. water
    1 onion, optional
Preparation
    Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper.
    Brown in hot shortening.
    Drain off drippings.
    Pour around pork chops a mixture of chicken soup, pet milk, and water.
    Add onion.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until tender.
    Keep gravy stirred well.
