Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 c. ice water
1/2 c. powdered non-dairy cream
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. butter
6 c. pared apples, sliced 1/2-inch thick
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Mix flour and salt; cut in shortening until crumbly.
Add cheese.
Sprinkle water over mixture and shape into ball.
Roll pastry into 15-inch circle on floured surface.
Place on baking sheet and turn up edge.
