Wanda'S Christmas Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pt. white Karo syrup
1 stick butter
8 Tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 can Eagle Brand milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
chocolate bark (optional)
Preparation

Mix the Karo syrup and butter in a pan; bring to a rolling boil.
Boil for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat.
In separate bowl, mix flour, sugar and Eagle Brand milk.
Place pan back on medium heat.
Slowly pour Eagle Brand mixture into the pan, stirring constantly.
Bring to a boil; cook, stirring constantly, approximately 45 minutes until mixture forms a fairly hard ball in cold water.
Remove from
heat.
Add vanilla and stir.
Add nuts and stir.
Pour in buttered 1 inch deep pans.
Cool; cut into squares.
Dip in melted chocolate.
