Beef, Cabbage And Tomato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 can or 2 1/2 c. tomatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    4 c. shredded cabbage
    1 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Brown beef, onion and celery in vegetable oil in large skillet.
    Add tomatoes and salt; bring to a boil.
    In casserole, layer cabbage and meat mixture, beginning and ending with cabbage. Top with bread crumbs.
    Bake 45 minutes at 375\u00b0 (shredded cheese may be added to top for last 3 to 5 minutes, if desired).
