Ingredients

1/2 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 c. thick sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well. Blend in melted chocolate.\tAdd sour cream and vanilla; mix well. Sift dry ingredients; add to first mixture.
Chill. Drop
rounded teaspoonfuls
on
lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at
425\u00b0
for 8\tto 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Frost cooled cookies.
