Devil'S Float - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. white sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. plus 2 tsp. cocoa
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. nuts
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. oleo, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 3/4 c. water (hot)
Preparation
    Sift flour, white sugar, salt, 2 teaspoons cocoa and baking powder in 9-inch well-greased pan.
    Add nuts; toss lightly.
    Blend milk, oleo and vanilla and add to mixture in pan; blend into batter.
    Mix brown sugar and remaining cocoa and spread over batter.
    Pour hot water over top.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve warm over vanilla ice cream.
