Pear Honey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 pears, chopped extra fine
    1 orange rind, grated
    1 orange, chopped fine
    1 (19 oz.) can pineapple, drained
    8 1/4 c. sugar
    1 small jar maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Let sugar-pear mixture set overnight.
    Cook until mixture thickens.
    Add small jar maraschino cherries, chopped fine.
    Let simmer for a few minutes.
    Put in jars and seal.
