Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. thick sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Blend shortening with sugar and eggs.
Stir in sour cream and vanilla.
Gradually add flour with baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Chill for at least 1 hour.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake until light brown for about 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Do not overbake.
