Eggnog Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    4 eggs, separated
    1/4 c. sugar
    bourbon, to taste
    1 c. whipping cream
    2 (9-inch) baked pie shells
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes.
    Combine egg yolks, 1/4 cup sugar, nutmeg, salt and milk.
    Cook in double boiler until thick, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and add softened gelatin and fold in egg whites which have been beaten stiff with 1/4 cup sugar.
    Add bourbon or bourbon flavoring to taste.
    Fold in 1 cup of whipped cream.
    Pour into shells and refrigerate until serving time.
