Sue'S Sausage Upside-Down Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    1/3 c. diced green pepper
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 tsp. chili powder
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes
    2 (8 1/2 oz.) pkg. corn muffin mix
    1/2 c. sliced olives, drained
    1 c. diced onion
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    In a large skillet cook sausage, onion and green pepper until sausage is brown and crumbly.
    Stir in flour and mix in tomato paste, salt, chili powder and black pepper. Remove from heat and stir in cheese cubes and olives. Spread evenly in a 9-inch square baking pan.
    Prepare corn muffin mix according to package and then spread over sausage mixture. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until cornbread is done.
    Let stand for 5 minutes and then loosen edges and invert onto serving plate. Serve immediately.
    Serves 6 to 8.
