Quick Apple Crisp #1 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. peeled and thinly sliced apples
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 small box (9 oz.) yellow cake mix
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place apples in lightly buttered 9 x 13-inch casserole (preferably a baking stone).
    Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; sprinkle over apples.
    Sprinkle dry cake mix over apple and sugar mixture.
    Evenly drizzle melted butter over top of cake mix.
    Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until lightly browned. Cool slightly before serving.
    Top with ice cream, if desired. Yields 10 to 12 servings.
