Orange Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. lukewarm milk, scalded, then cooled
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
3 Tbsp. margarine or butter, softened
1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
2 Tbsp. orange juice
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Preparation

Set half of this aside.
Spread half of orange mixture on dough.
Roll up tightly, beginning at 24-inch side.
Pinch edge of dough into roll to seal well.
Stretch roll to make even.
Cut into twenty four 1-inch slices.
Place slightly apart in greased round 8 x 1 1/2-inch layer pan.
Let rise until double, about 40 minutes.
Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Bake until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
Frost remaining orange mixture while warm.
Makes 2 dozen rolls.
