Ingredients

1 c. margarine (or butter)
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. milk
7 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 3/4 c. currants
Preparation

Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, seasonings and currants.
Cut in shortening and margarine.
Add sugar, eggs and milk.
Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness; cut with round cookie cutter and drop on medium degree griddle or grill.
When one side of cookie is light brown, turn like pancake and brown other side.
