Butterscotch-Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    3 c. rolled oats
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt and soda.
    Cream butter, sugars and eggs, creaming well.
    Blend dry ingredients gradually to butter mixture.
    Stir in rolled oats and chopped nuts.
    Chill 1 hour. Divide dough in half.
    Shape into rolls 1 1/2-inch in diameter. Wrap in foil and chill 2 hours to overnight.
    Cut into slices about 1/4-inch thick and place on greased baking sheets.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Cool on cake rack.
    Makes 6 to 8 dozen.
