Cheesy Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 c. diced onion
1/2 c. sliced celery
2 c. diced green pepper (optional)
1/2 c. grated carrots
1 to 2 c. diced potatoes
3 c. McKay's chicken stock
2 c. half and half cream
2 to 3 c. shredded cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Peel and cook carrots and potatoes separately.
Save water they were cooked in.
Melt margarine in a large pot.
Cook onion and celery until clear.
Add carrots and potatoes and enough water to cover vegetables.
Simmer until soft.
Add chicken stock that has been made with water from cooked vegetables.
Add cream and keep heat low until hot.
Add grated cheese and salt.
Stir as cheese is melting.
Cheese will thicken chowder.
Serve when hot. Do not boil.
