1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (not whipped)
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. almond
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar until very fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add milk and flour ingredients alternately, beating well after each.
    Add vanilla and almond.
