Poppycock - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. popped corn
    1 1/2 c. whole pecan halves
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    2/3 c. whole almonds
    1/2 c. clear Karo
Preparation
    Mix together popped corn and nuts on large cookie sheet.
    In a 1 1/2-quart saucepan, combine sugar, butter and Karo syrup.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Continue boiling and stirring until mixture turns a medium caramel color (290\u00b0, hard crack).
    Remove from heat.
    Add 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla.
    Pour over corn and nuts; mix to coat well.
    Spread out to dry.
