Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. corn meal (white or yellow)
1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
onion, grated or chopped fine
1 egg
1/3 to 1/2 c. milk or tomato juice

Preparation

Drop from spoon and fry in deep hot fat.
