New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon, chopped
    2 c. chopped onion
    4 c. cubed potatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. water
    2 (8 oz.) cans minced clams (save juice)
    1 qt. light cream
    1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Saut bacon and onion over medium heat. In saucepan, add potatoes, salt, pepper, water, bacon and onions. Cook until potatoes are tender. Add clams, 1 cup clam liquid, cream and butter. Simmer 10 minutes. Stir frequently.
