Sausage, Sweet Potato And Apple Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage meat
    6 small apples
    1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
    6 small sweet potatoes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    Form 6 sausage patties and brown in hot skillet. Drain off part of the fat.
    Core apples (not cutting through end and do not peel).
    Fill centers with brown
    sugar and butter.
    Place apples and peeled sweet potatoes over sausage.
    Add water and salt. Cover skillet and bring mixture to
    a boil.
    Simmer for 30 minutes or until potatoes are done.
    Uncover and glaze under broiler. Serves 4.
