Steamed Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. long grain rice
    6 c. water
    2 tsp. oil
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Rinse the rice in a pan 3 to 4 times in cold water, draining most of the water off.
    Place rice, water, oil and salt in a four-quart, nonstick saucepan.
    Stir to mix well.
    Bring to a boil, uncovered, then reduce heat to medium.
    Let simmer until the rice is \"au dent\" and most of the water is absorbed.
    Drain in a colander, discarding the water.
