Banana Split Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 yellow cake mix
1 large container Cool Whip
1 pkg. cream cheese
2 bananas
1 large can crushed pineapple
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1 small jar maraschino cherries
1 pkg. vanilla pudding (not instant) mix
Preparation

Bake cake as package directs.
Cool.
Poke holes all over cake.
Cook pineapple and sugar to boil, then simmer 20 minutes. Pour over cake.
Cool.
Prepare pudding as package directs; add cream cheese and whip together until light.
Spread over cake. Layer sliced bananas over cake, then spread Cool Whip.
Sprinkle with nuts and dot with cherries.
Cuts better if stored overnight.
