Oven Barbecue Venison - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    sliced venison (1 1/2 to 2 lb.)
    flour
    salt and pepper
    barbecue sauce
    shortening
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt and pepper.
    Roll prepared venison in mixture. Fry in small amount of shortening until brown on each side. Cover bottom of casserole dish with barbecue sauce.
    Place lid on casserole dish and cook in 300\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes to one hour. Add more sauce if needed.
    (Chicken may be used instead of venison.)
