Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. oil
1 c. thinly sliced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lb. potatoes, diced
1 c. diced turnip
2 c. chicken broth
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. light cream
sliced celery
Preparation

In medium saucepan, heat butter and oil until butter is melted. Add onion and garlic, cook, stirring often, 5 to 7 minutes or until onion is soft.
Add potatoes, turnip, chicken broth and seasonings.
Bring to boil over high heat.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until potatoes and turnips are fork-tender.
In blender, process soup in batches until pureed. Return to saucepan.
Stir in cream and cook about 5 minutes. Pour into serving dishes. Yields 5 1/2 cups.
