Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. softened margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Grease 12-inch pizza pan.
Line with waxed paper.
Grease waxed paper.
Place all of cookie dough on paper.
Cover with another piece of waxed paper (ungreased).
Press or roll out cookie dough to completely cover pan evenly.
Remove top sheet of waxed paper.
Bake until set and slightly browned.
Remove from oven; cool completely.
Flip onto flat plate or pan.
Remove waxed paper from bottom of cookie.
Turn over and decorate if desired. Can be used in conjunction with any recipe making 3 dozen cookies.
