Lemon Sponge Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
4 1/2 Tbsp. flour
3 egg yolks
1/3 c. lemon juice
3 Tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 1/2 c. milk
3 egg whites
Preparation

Mix sugar and flour together.
Add well beaten egg yolks, lemon rind, juice, melted butter and milk.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Turn into a pastry-lined pan and bake at 450\u00b0 about 5 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 325\u00b0 and bake about 45 minutes longer or until firm.
Cool before serving.
