Easy Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. frozen hash browns
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 cans minced clams (with juice)
    water (to cover)
    1 can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    3 to 4 slices bacon, crisped and crumbled
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Put hash browns, butter and clams in 6-quart kettle.
    Add water to cover and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
    Add milk and garlic powder. Simmer 10 more minutes, stirring often.
    Add bacon, salt and pepper. Stir.
    Serve with crusty bread.
