Roast Beef And Filling Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. beef roast
    1 large onion
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. water
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown meat in butter on top of stove.
    Put in roaster with seasonings.
    Dice onion and add to meat.
    Add water; cover and roast 2 1/2 hours.
    About 3/4 hour before meat is done, add filling balls.
