Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. English walnuts (in shells)
1 lb. dates
1 jar red and 1 jar green maraschino cherries
3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs
Preparation

Chop dates, cherries and nuts in large bowl. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt over dates, cherries and nuts. Mix by hand until fruit and nuts are covered. Beat eggs until foamy. Stir in mixture and mix well. Bake in 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes. I put wax paper in bottom of pan before baking.
