Christmas Cranberry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light molasses
    1 c. boiling water
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. washed cranberries
    2/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    1 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    In one bowl, mix boiling water and molasses.
    Add flour and soda.
    In another bowl, mix the next 4 ingredients and add to first bowl, stirring just until blended.
    Put in a well-oiled, covered steaming pan.
    Place on a rack in a large, covered pan of simmering water, coming 2/3 of the way up the side.
    Steam for about 1 1/2 hours until firm, but moist (water needs to simmer, not boil).
    Cool 30 minutes and invert on small plate.
    Cool and wrap with Saran.
