Pierogies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    2/3 c. cool water
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    4 large potatoes, cooked
    pepper to taste
    sour cream
    melted butter
Preparation
    Mix flour with salt.
    Add egg and water.
    Knead lightly. Cover dough with towel and set aside.
    Saute onion in vegetable oil; mash potatoes.
    Add onion to potatoes and mix well.
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    Cool.
    Roll dough thin.
    Cut into rounds with water glass.
    Hold round in palm of hand; place spoonful of filling in center.
    Fold in half.
    Press edges to seal; place on dry towel and cover.
