Buttercream Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. white Karo syrup
    lump of butter
    vanilla
Preparation
    Boil to soft ball stage (tested in cold water).
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Cool for 5 minutes.
    Beat if you want plain, or add nuts, candied fruit, coconut, peanut butter, etc., before beating.
    Beat and when it is right consistency, put on waxed paper by teaspoonfuls.
