Carousel Salad Bowl - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (7 oz.) pkg. creamettes, uncooked
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, diced
    1/2 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
    1 (17 oz.) can green peas, drained
    1 c. diced, cooked ham
    1 c. diced celery
Preparation
    Cook creamettes according to directions on package.
    Do not chill.
    While still hot, drizzle with oil and vinegar.
    Add onions, seasonings and cheese; toss well.
    Gently mix in remaining ingredients.
    Chill thoroughly.
    Serve on lettuce.
