Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
4 3/4 c. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Grease baking sheets; set aside.
Soften yeast in warm water; set aside.
In mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add shortening, yeast and buttermilk.
Stir just until dough clings together.
Knead gently on lightly floured surface 10 to 12 strokes.
Cut with floured biscuit cutter.
Place on cookie sheets, folding biscuit circles in half.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
