Sirloin Tip Beef Roast - cooking recipe

1 8-10 lb whole sirloin tip roast
Garlic salt
4 Tbsp. corn starch
Preparation

Remove roast from package. Trim excess fat from roast and rinse. Place in roaster pan and sprinkle all over with garlic salt. Place in preheated 500 degree oven for about 15 minutes, until tip is seared to seal in juices. Lower temperature to 350 degrees and bake until desired doneness (do not cover). 3 hours will give well done with medium done on inside. Take out of oven and place on platter. Place baking pan on burner and add 3 C water and stir. Bring to a boil. Add 4 Tbsp corn starch to 1/2 C water. Mix until smooth. Add to pan and stir until thickened. Slice roast and serve with gravy over roast or cooked rice.
