Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
    2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    1 c. moist shredded coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    6 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour and salt in a saucepan.
    Gradually stir in milk.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils.
    Boil for 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat. Gradually stir at least 1/2 of hot mixture into egg yolks.
    Blend into hot mixture in saucepan.
    Boil for 2 minutes more, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Blend in butter and vanilla.
    Fold in coconut.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Top with meringue.
