Applesauce Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. applesauce
    4 c. flour
    4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 c. dates, chopped
    2 c. nuts, chopped
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 lb. mixed chopped fruit
    1 c. raisins, softened
Preparation
    Heat applesauce.
    Cream sugar and shortening and add to hot applesauce.
    Blend flour, soda, salt and spices.
    Toss to coat fruit and nuts.
    Add all to applesauce mixture.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
