Chinese Ham Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. corn oil
    2 Tbsp. light karo syrup
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. cooked julienne ham
    2 c. cooked rice
    1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
    1/2 c. slivered green pepper
    1/2 c. shredded carrot
    1/4 c. chopped onion
Preparation
    In a large bowl stir together corn oil, syrup, soy sauce, ginger and pepper.
    Add ham, rice, water chestnuts, green pepper, carrot and onion.
    Toss to coat well.
    Cover.
    Chill at least one hour.
    Makes 4 servings.
