Nanny'S Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. hot water
1 c. oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Pour hot water over oats; let stand.
Cream sugar and shortening.
Beat eggs into sugar mixture and mix flour, soda, salt and cinnamon.\tMix flour mixture with sugar mixture.
Add oats and beat well.
Pour into oblong pan sprayed with Pam.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until done.
