Salisbury Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 slices white bread
    1/4 c. milk
    1 3/4 lb. medium ground lean beef
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    4 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
    freshly ground pepper
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Remove crusts from bread; soak in milk until soft.
    Add beef, breaking it up in small pieces.
    Squeeze out excess milk from bread and lightly mix with ground beef until absorbed.
    Add seasonings and shape into a large round (about 1-inch thick) or 2 smaller individual rounds.
    Preheat broiler.
    Place meat on oiled broiler pan.
    Cook 4 inches from heat on one side for 5 minutes, then turn and sprinkle on bacon and broil another 4 to 5 minutes. Add more time for well-done meat.
