Matrimony Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. melted margarine
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients; press half of mixture into a greased 9 x 12-inch cake pan.
Add filling and spread over previous layer. Top with remaining crumb mixture.
