Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. flour
pinch of salt
1 3/4 c. milk
4 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. shredded coconut
Preparation

Mix sugar, flour and salt with 1/4 cup milk.
Heat 1 1/2 cups milk and stir in flour mixture.
Cook on low heat until mixture begins to thicken.
Add beaten egg yolks and cook 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter, vanilla and coconut.
Pour into 9-inch pie shell.
Top with meringue or whipped cream.
