Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

5 eggs
1 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 c. cornsyrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped pecans
16 pecan halves
1 c. whipping cream

Preparation

Prepare unbaked pie shell for 10 1/2 inch pie plate. Beat eggs and sugar together until well blended. Add butter, corn syrup, salt, vanilla, and chopped pecans. Mix thoroughly. Pour into prepared unbaked shell. Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 1/4 hours-until filling is set. Cover with foil if top gets too brown before filling is set. Serve warm or cold. Garnish with whipped cream and pecan halves.
