English Cheese Straws - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. all-purpose flour
salt and red pepper to taste
1/4 c. cold butter, cut into small pieces
1/2 c. finely shredded sharp cheese
1 egg yolk
cold water
paprika
Preparation

Grease 2 large baking sheets.
Set aside.
Sift flour into large bowl.
Season with salt and pepper.
With your fingers, rub butter into flour until mix is crumbly.
Mix in cheese and egg yolk.
Add enough cold water, a little at a time, to make a stiff dough.
Break off 1/3 of dough and set aside.
