Peg'S Company Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. cabbage, shredded
    1 large carrot, finely chopped
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. sour cream
    5 scallions, finely chopped
    1/2 green pepper, finely chopped
    1/4 c. golden raisins, chopped (scissors work well)
    5 level Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. (scant) white vinegar
    1 generous Tbsp. horseradish
Preparation
    Soak the shredded cabbage in icy salt water no less than one half hour.
    Add all of the ingredients.
    Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate.
    This keeps well.
    After a few days, you may want to drain off some of the excessive moisture.
    Stir.
    Serves 10 to 12.
