Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    4 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. milk
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/4 tsp. dry or prepared mustard
    2 slices American cheese
    6 c. sliced potatoes
Preparation
    Melt margarine; add flour and mix well.
    Add milk, then gradually add onion, mustard and cheese.
    Add potatoes; bring to a boil.
    Boil seven minutes.
    Put in a casserole or baking dish. Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes or microwave about 15 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
    May add 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of cubed ham instead of cheese.
    Add salt if not using ham.
